Scientific Program

The LIBS 2008 scientific program will comprise invited talks and submitted oral contributions as well as poster contributions to which a strong focuses will be directed as well.

The conference program and poster session will be structured along the following topics

  1. Fundamentals
  2. Modeling and Calibration
  3. Industrial Applications
  4. Environmental Application (e.g. Air, Water, Soil) and Cultural Heritage
  5. Remote-LIBS (LIBS in hostile Environments, LIBS for Safety and Security)
  6. "Particles and Plasmas"
  7. Instrumentation

Book of Abstracts (7 Mb!)

The authors should present themselves before each session to the session chair and upload their presentation before the sessions accordingly. The computer for display will run Powerpoint 2007 in a Windows XP environment. Please contact the conference desk early enough, if you require special IT support. Please use the available computer at the conference desk to check your presentation if necessary.

Below is  the schedule for the poster sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (23-25.09) of the LIBS 2008. The poster are intended to be on display for one day, so please attach the poster in the morning and remove it at the end of the day. The poster boards support a maximum size of A0 posters (portrait: 84.1 x 118.9 cm or 33.11x 46.82 inch). The poster will be attached to the boards through magnets provided at the poster. Further, a poster jury will try to identify the best student poster and we will award this naturally during the conference dinner cruise.
